Wow that looks beautiful! The pink tulips mixed in is so perfect.

How long has that section been growing? Will you be dividing the bulbs later this year?
Looks lovely but may need some fertilizer for the bulbs. 💗

Are all 800 in there?? I’d love to see a wider shot (considering a few hundred for myself next year!)

Did not go overboard. This is amazing! While I wish everyone could do this I get that it’s not really possible. Please continue to do this as much as you can.

Wow. That is amazing!  How closely do you have to plant the bulbs? Do you plan to dig up every year? Daffodils multiply by 2 for me every year and eventually stop flowering as well but still looks nice in large patches. The tulips all die out when crowded. I’m not trying to be negative, this is amazing. I just want to know maintenance strategies so I know what I’m getting into when I do this this fall haha.

This is what garden catalogs look like! Amazing, GREAT job, OP. I’m sure your neighbors thank you!

And 800 bulbs is a LOT of work to plant. Much respect to you, for all that. 😀

Where did you order from and how much money was it please?

Overboard was a good idea. Just look how beautiful this is! 😍

I love many flowers together like that. I don’t like the open spaces/no flowers.

Where did you order the bulbs from! Always looking for a reliable source after all my “white” daffodils sprouted into plain old yellow.

Wait 3 years and the amount of bulblets in that bundle will change the amount of bulbs from 800 to 4,000

    12. I think it’s perfect. 😂

I just did this with wild flowers too. 😬

Lovely 😍 You can have too much in a small space, though. The plants themselves will thrive and be healthier if given a little breathing room. Didn’t Coco Chanel say something about culling….when you think you are well accessorized, always take one thing off.

I’d like to state you went underboard.

You should’ve asked a neighborhood kid to poke holes in the ground randomly for you and planted an entire field of them

You did not go overboard! Those gorgeous blooms just gave me a bit of joy. Thank you.

Beautiful. I am proud of my garden, which has 50% flowers! Lol, I have worked in this for 5 years. I hope you are proud of your work, too!

If a flower bed could be enthusiastic, this is what it would look like. I love it.

God now I want to order more bulbs 😂 I planted some crocus last fall but I wanted to see how they’d look before I filled in… now I’m deciding I need more. I just bought a bunch of stuff to redo my front yard/add to what I have

    19. longfurbyinacardigan on

Gosh that’s gorgeous. I’ll tell you what I have a lot more respect for bulbs now. I ordered $600 worth and they are beautiful, but nowhere near this type of coverage. Now when I see really impressive displays I realize how much cost goes into it also!

He who plants flowers, harvests joy. It was a good decision.

I wish I had the property and money to just go “Fuck it” and make a ridiculously huge planting of bulbs
