Oh my God this makes me so nostalgic.
I spent a fair bit of my childhood in a remote area of Italy and we had a whole part of the hill looking just like this, covered in daffodils every spring.

Yes, we planted ~5,000 bulbs around 1985, many naturalized in the woods. My husband says there are over 20,000 now. They are a joy! I am glad they give you pleasure.
