Snake or ZZ would be great there. Don’t need much water or light, and gives height

Another option is to put a grow light in whatever light source is above it. Then that opens your plant options a bit!!

Any small plants can fit there as long as they have enough grow lights.

A Spider Plant would do well. So, long as you remember to turn it once in a while.

most all plants need more light than that spot is getting. if you add a light it will last a lot longer. anything listed as “low light” just means it last longer before it dies, but it is dying the whole time. they will look like they’re growing but only because they’re heavily reaching for light. the growth is skinny and long aka leggy. adding a grow light opens your options to shade plants.

Possibly a marimo ball but it might get too much light there.

    7. Get a light meter. Honestly one of the best purchases you can ever make if you have an extensive collection, it’s inexpensive and it will answer that for you because then you can Google “are X lux enough for Y plant”

Micans Philodendron climbing up a moss pole or a ZZ plant or a Sansevieria Laurentii (snake or MIL tongue) I’d put a variegated Ruby Rubber plant, personally. They are gorgeous!

I would be very nervous the door would slam into my plant when I opened the door. I’d consider a small decorative table instead of a plant

Definitely don’t plant directly into the pot, add a plastic nursery pot for drainage. No plant can thrive in these light conditions, but some can survive. I would add a grow light, otherwise it’s pretty much plant torture. The corner right next to a window is usually the darkest one in the room.

Fatsia. I picked one up a few months ago and had the pot it was in on a low stand not in a window but near one. I was worried either me or the dog would knock it over so I put it up on stool which gave it a little more light than it was previously getting and it got really pissed off really quickly, like within a day quickly, so I moved it to the hallway right next to the door to my office. My office has windows on the wall opposite the doorway but the hallway itself has no windows. It’s kind of an awkward spot but it keeps putting out new leaves so I haven’t moved it.

A Parlour Palm could be a good option, too. They can survive with little light but they won’t thrive however the frosted windows might let in enough light to make one happy.

    12. Any plant you like, provided you add a good clip on grow light tbh

Also; plants that won’t die in low light (but won’t thrive) snake plant, zz plant, Jade pothos

Spider plant, snake plant, ZZ plant! Most pothos would probably work too.
