Ich bin ein totaler Gärtner, aber ein begeisterter! Ich kaufte und pflanzte im Herbst eine Ladung Frühlingsbirnen in meinem schweren Lehmboden und hoffte auf das Beste. Es ist magisch, sie alle jetzt alle auftauchen zu sehen.
Als nächstes: Gladioli! Ich muss nur noch mehr Blumenbeete graben, um alle Lampen zu drücken, die ich pflanzen möchte!
Gibt es Empfehlungen für Sommer-/Herbstblüten, die in Tonboden (volle Sonne und teilweise Schatten) glücklich sind? Ich will Farbe! 🌸🌼🌻🌷🪻🌹

My heavy clay soil has doing well:
– Roses
– Japanese anemones
– Bergenia (I don’t love them but you get green through winter and then pink flowers early)
– Peonies
– Irises
– Foxgloves
– Nigella/love in the mist has merrily self seeded and comes up every year
They are not super happy as everyone says they spread like mad and they haven’t at all is Crocosmia. But they have flowered reliably just not spread so am actually happy!
Dogwood same story, not gone mad but lovely bright stems in the winter.
Annuals that have bloomed easily and for a long time when planted out as plugs:
– Cosmos
-Zinnias

Such a rewarding time of year..
You have bluebells, which will become a problem over time. If you intend to keep that patch for bulbs only, I recommend portioning it off; you’ll need a below ground barrier of some kind.
They will spread everywhere, which is nice, but they will out compete other plants and spread proficiently unless you keep them under control.
Also, the hassle when you have to trim the tops from all the dense thicket they create. You either have to wait for the leaves to dry and fall or risk the strimmer blitzing it apart.
