Ich bin im Jahr 2022 in ein Haus gezogen und es ist kein etablierter Obstgarten. Der Apfelbaum im Vordergrund ist bei weitem der größte und älteste.
Keine Ahnung, wie alt es ist, aber es produziert immer noch (Granny Smith Type, aber essbare). Ich fing an, die fluchenden langen Triebe aus dem Wachstum der letzten Jahre zurück zu beschneiden. Aber wie Sie hoffentlich auf dem Bild sehen werden, gibt es immer noch eine gute 1/3 bis zu einer 1/2.
Ich habe jetzt gerade ein Video gesehen, das darauf hindeutet, dass dies vielleicht nicht das Richtige dafür ist, da es nur kräftiger zurückbleiben wird.
Ich frage mich, ob ein harter Kräte im nächsten Winter am besten wäre.

Prune more.
Wait untill apples start then prune to 2 buds above the fruit. Then in november prune properly . If you shape your hand into a wine glass . Your palm being the trunk fingers the branches your nails facing outwards is the bud to cut to. So cut off crossing branches, or dead ones to a outward bud. If you need a good book to help you then the expert fruit book is the best . It helped me through horticultural college.
I’d just give the long vertical new growth a trim back to a couple of nodes. Wouldn’t touch anything thicker than a finger and only if the buds are still fully closed and not bursting. It might be just too late for this year
Prune more. Especially those top sprouts.
