      How often do you water?
I can’t tell from the picture so I would say definitely check the soil. Snake plants don’t like sitting in water/moist soil-could lead to root rot which could be a possibility here. Soil medium is important too, you want something for the roots to breathe and I’ve found some big-box store soil gets compact over time.

Overwatered. That leaf looks like it has a type of fungal or bacterial infection, likely from overwatering. Cut it off with a sterile blade or you can just trim off the infected part (I’d cut to under you thumb).

The pot is one size too big and the soil too organic. You want soil that’s well draining (closer to 50% perlite/pumice). Only water once all of the soil is fully dry, then soak the pot in a bucket of water for roughly 15 minutes. Let it drain, and never let it sit in excess water. Always pot with drainage.

Over watered and incorrect soil. It’s a hard lesson to learn for sure!

I find my snake plants looooove being quite squeezed in their pot. Always remember they tolerate too little water WAY better than too much!
