Ich war in dieser Eigenschaft in einem beträchtlichen Eckgrundstück zu sehen. Es hat ein Sommerhaus in der oberen Ecke mit einem geschmückten Bereich. Der Rasen ist ziemlich steil. Irgendeine Idee, wenn dies mehr kinderfreundlicher werden könnte, z. Wir haben das Haus geliebt, aber ich befürchte, dass die Außenseite kostspielig sein könnte. Danke!

Levelling this would be either taking out tonnes upon tonnes or adding tonnes upon tonnes. Costly is an understatement.

Yes. Anything is possible if you win the lottery.
However selling up and moving is probably cheaper than levelling this.
It looks more fun for children as it is. I’d just do something about the cliff edge drops.
Why not break it upto into sections. Top, middle and bottom. The middle area can be flattened. That way minimum removal of soil.
All outside space is costly. Buy the house. The kids will love that garden to explore and make dens.
Something else also to be considered is, they’re not toddlers forever. You could probably make it work short term 3-4 years if it’s your forever home and then grow and adapt as you go along?
It wouldn’t put me off. You’ve got 4 choices in my eyes.
1) supervised play – you’ll be able to keep an eye on the kids and you won’t need to adapt the garden much
2) hire a digger and a big skip. This will cost you hundreds, probably thousands but you’ll be able to do the work yourself and level out as much as you want. Daunting but possible.
3) get some quotes – before you put in an offer get some quotes from landscapers to do all the work for you. Quotes are normally free so you’ll be able to use this to barter on the property.
4) this would be my choice – put up a picket fence. Just on top of the red brick retaining wall at the end of the lawn in the last photo. You’ll have a large play area that’s penned in and out won’t cost the earth.
Be a shame to miss out on a great property in a great location based on the garden alone 🤷🏻
No can’t be levelled (unless you’ve got a spare £100k) but looks an amazing garden for kids!
You’d want a railing if you planned on having kids running around that.
Also you’ll want to consider the sheer volume of earth that will need to be moved, once it starts coming out of the ground it starts decompacting aswell so takes up even more volume
I would put a little wooden fence along the wall or just large planters to block the drop off. It looks lovely and will be brilliant the bigger they get

I’d be looking very hard at that weird flat roof on the conservatory, by the way.
The house I grew up in had a sloped garden. A small part of it was levelled so we could have a trampoline or a paddling pool etc.
The rest of it was sloped and we loved it, in summer we had a water slide running down it, we invented a tonne of games that used the hill, we would roll down it in races and all sorts. It made us quite creative as we only had a small flat bit. We would play badminton and stuff with our own rules on the slope.
As someone who, when very young, had a near fatal fall from one of these walls i would recommend if you did get the house to erect a fence to prevent and accidental falls

Mature trees and bushes to enjoy which will attract wildlife, shade from the sun in Summer and also less likely to flood as its not flat. Plenty of places for kids to hide etc…
Personally I love that garden, it’s private and spacious and you do have flat entertainment areas. Can kick a ball on the patio and the hill really.
I’m not a landscaper or engineer but if you’re on a proper slope ( a big one by the looks of it, and the house is downhill of the garden) and want to level it you need one hell of a drainage system without that lawn
Flat lawns are overrated. I would have loved a garden like this as a kid. I actually think I’d have been the envy of all my friends if I had an interesting place like this to play as a kid.
Drop the thought of a flat lawn and think about all the other benefits you and your kids will get from a location like this.
This is very similar to ours – we put a section down the side of the house with a play house, artificial grass and a gate that’s the children’s part of the garden whilst they’re very little, so we knew they were safe, and a gate going up the steps to the main garden so they wouldn’t just appear up there without us knowing, which gave a large patio for them to play on with bikes and whatever, and no fear they were going to kick a ball over a fence 😂

Get rid of the big bushes at the top ,for more space and just add a soak away by the wall to allow any rain water that runs of the grass to go out down the drain.
Why not level out a section and build a little house for the kids to play in??
Hide it in the bushes etc to add to the effect??

I honestly thought you meant there was something wrong with the patio then I saw the other photos and realised you wanted to level an entire hill. If you actually did that could you imagine how high your retaining wall would be? Embrace the incline mate.
If you have lots of money and don’t mind a massive wall.
Can do anything. But it would be a massive engineering job with massive cart away. Possible retaining wall construction needed.
Anything can be levelled but why would you want to? It’s really nice.
And kids are built to run uphill!

Kids improvise. Yes, they’ll probably kick a ball around in it, but when they’re older they’ll go down the park to do that.
It looks to me that you’ve got a great garden there for your kids to get away from the adults as they get older, and maybe the reverse too!
