Maybe too much light too fast? If it were water issues the tips would be affected first.
I think maybe too much light. Those leaves are delicate and it doesn’t take much for them to burn.
I just got one of these myself. From what I’ve read they don’t like direct sunlight, south or west facing window. Moist soil but not drowning.
I have mine in a south window, because it’s really the only choice I have😔🤔 and I try to remember to water it every few days. Don’t let the soil dry out. Good luck. 🤞
Remove it from soil. It is tied with rubber bands. That’s how they make them stay together. Once the bases of the plants grow they get “choked/strangled” by the rubber band and they start dying.
Cut the rubber bands and remove carefully then repotting. That happened to mine and I believe all of the money trees have the same issue.
The sun is burning it. You gotta let it get used to direct sunlight gradually. It will still thrive in indirect sunlight if you dont want to take the risk or dont want to deal with the hasle of acclimating it to direct sunlight.
