Letztes Jahr habe ich eine wunderschöne große Monstera deliciosa gekauft, sie hervorragend gepflegt und dann kam der Thripsbefall. Seitdem musste ich so viele Blätter abschneiden und die, die noch übrig sind, sehen auch nicht besonders gut aus. Gibt es etwas Verlässliches gegen Thripse? Ich kann diesen Scheiß nicht mehr machen.

Blast the bejesus out of it with Neem oil spray. I mean really soak it until the plant is soaked. This suffocates them and kills any larvae. Then get that plant into a new container with new soil and keep it moist but not soaking and keep it in the shade inside. You
Any pesticide with either [imidacloprid](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imidacloprid) or another neonicotinoid in it.
I had a thrips and spider mite issue last year. The only way I was able to get it under control was Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew. I treated every plant in my collection(100+) twice about 2 weeks apart. Every since I just keep a watchful eye and if there are signs of either pest I treat the plant and all of the ones around it. Unfortunately, once you have them it’s more of a control issue than an elimination. Best of luck to you!
Use hydrogen peroxide. I used Neems and most everything else suggested on this thread, but to no avail. Hydrogen peroxide killed them, their larvae, and preserved the plant. Mine is thriving now. You will see results instantaneously, and you can continue to use without harm to the plant for all life cycles of the pest. Soak the soil and you can also spray the leaves (my infestation did not require the latter, but I know it’s an additional step you can take if needed).
Ok, I’m not seeing Bonide granules anywhere? This is really the most extreme and fast acting answer. I took my thrips out in three days with generous amounts of bonide after cleaning the leaves with Captain jack’s bug spray. Do about 2-3 rounds of bonide whenever you water your plant and boom, no more bugs!
If you have pets, this may not be an option as it makes your plants extremely poisonous but it gets the job done.
What country are you from, to know what is available to you for pesticides? You could also use beneficial insects instead of chemicals.
Also, washing down the foliage and dusting regularly is preventative.

someone suggested hotshot no pest strips on another post I saw. I recently had a bad mealybug and scale infestation on multiple of my plants, and nothing else was really working. I even sat down and applied rubbing alcohol and water with a makeup brush to each of the leaves.
I shut them in a closet for a few days with a no pest strip, and the bugs are all gone. My plants are currently recovering nicely. I have been putting all new plants in my hallway closet with a pest strip before adding them to my shelf now.
Captain jacks dead bug brew is the only thing that finally solved the absolute war I was waging against thrips last year. Don’t waste your time with other methods if you are able to get some, just go for it.
