That border looks great and am really quite jealous of your view.
It looks a lot like one of ours which is called Dreamland, and it’s very spready as well. But there are multiple pink varieties.
Hardy geranium do not get the love they deserve. Your border looks amazing btw

Yeah they are a great plant. Really easy to multiply too, just dig up a chunk (technical gardening term) and plant it elsewhere.
I had a lovely purple/blue one that appeared in my garden this year. I think it was called Johnson’s blue.
They are the ultimate in infinite plants. I find chopping out lots of small chunks not only spreads them but keeps the original clump fresher and more productive.
I do enjoy a lovely geranium

Lovely. Randomly started growing out of an empty pot in our back.
I have several of these and have just altered the landscaping plans in order not to disturb them. They make me happy!
It might not be in a couple of years time when it has overgrown everything! I’m talking from experience with my cranesbill!
Is that just soil planted directly into that stone ornament to the left?
I’ve gone all in on hardy geraniums this year! Hardy, shade tolerant and the slugs do not touch them! They also spread and have pretty flowers.
I love this! I have a purple geranium that I planted at the bottom of my honeysuckle trellis because it was bare once the honeysuckle had climbed. It has thrived and looks lovely. It’s a real bee magnet and smells lovely every year! Only downside is it tries to encroach on the lawn so occasionally gets a trim from the mower.
I love hardy geraniums, they grow like weeds in my soil – jealous of the verbena bonariensis, can’t persuade those to grow at all for some reason

I’ve also got one and I absolutely love it! It’s now about 5 years old and just comes back better every year
Gorgeous plant and border. I love hardy geraniums too although they can be some work if you don’t want them taking over. Then again same with many other plants. My favourite of the hardies is the dark purple Geranium phaeum commonly called Dusky Cranesbill. There’s a huge one in my local park growing under a mature sycamore tree on the edge of a bog garden that looks divine.
They’re the ultimate plant for people who are either new to gardening or want low maintenance as well. Great for bare patches to suppress weeds and actually good for pollinators.
I agree with all the hardy geranium love! We have a light pinky/purple one that grows brilliantly; fills all the gaps and flowers for months. So easy to divide and move, I recently put some in the front garden as there was too much in the back. Much as love mine, I’d been coveting the bluey violet ones, so got one of them recently, too. Adore the colour, hope it grows as vigorously as the established ones.
