Gekauft bei Morrisons, sah er damals sehr gesund aus. Habe ihn einen Monat im Topf gelassen, bevor die meisten Blätter anfingen, braun zu werden. Er wurde regelmäßig gegossen, und ein ähnlicher Baum, der damals gekauft wurde, gedieh gut.
Es war zwei Wochen lang in der Erde, wurde gut gewässert und mit viel Kompost versorgt, aber das letzte verbliebene Grün auf den Blättern ist braun geworden.
Gibt es Hoffnung, es zu retten?

Keep it watered, but not wet (otherwise root rot). Wait for spring to come. If it doesn’t show signs of growth then, it’s dead Jim. Trees are quite resilient though
It was a honey crisp too- they are pricey. ☹️
Do a little light scratch further down the trunk and check for any green.
If there is no green, then sadly it’s gone, sorry.
If there is a little green, and it is in a pot, I would stand the entire pot in a large bucket of water for an hour. And maybe add a drop or two of a concentrated liquid feed to the water.
Repeat that in a few days.
Give it a good soak and it should bounce back, it’s probably pulling nutrients from its leaves to form roots and hunting for water. The problem with bark mulch is you can’t see how dry the soil is. Monitor the soil and keep it damp with regular watering. After it’s started to recover give it a liquid feed. Then again in a month. It will show recovery low down on the stem first, and the top leaves will probably drop whatever you do.
My tree’s looked just like this. Then out of no-where new growth started.
Don’t rip it out until next summer unless theirs growth then you will know.
My plum looked just like that 2 months ago… It’s now covered in new leaves.
A a tree like this needs 2.5litres (1 water) to 5 litres (equivelant of 2 waters), that’s half a bucket of water a week in summer.. A new planted tree like this needs the 5 litres.. So will need watering twice at 2.5litres a go.. For about a 2 weeks until it finds it’s way.. That’s one dry tree. You can buy plant fertilizer from vitax it needs 2 handfuls around the base and water.. Also they sell plant food it’s 6 month release pellets they look like bb bullets.. They need to be added aswell.. Feed and water your tree or it won’t feed you!! Water on Sunday and Thursday
it might be absolutely fine in the spring. don’t be tempted to overwater it especially now as we go into autumn just keep it happy
It does look exceptionally crisp, the label wasn’t lying…
So probably not? But keep watering it. It’s *possible* it will survive the winter and come back next year (it’s even possible it will come back in the next month or two) dont give up till the trunk is brittle!
