Verdammt!

I LOVE working at a nursery for this reason, so many free plants!
Love to propagate these !
I don’t even put mine in water just lay them down on the soil or pop them in stem first if it’s a small pot .
This is the only form of proplifting I can bring myself to participate in. When it’s more than likely going to be swept up and tossed anyway, I don’t see why it’s an issue morally or otherwise.
I love tradescantia for this lol. The only one where I literally cuts off the mother plant and stick right back into soil. No callousing, no water propping. They’re just so easy to grow.
This isn’t purple heart. It is “wandering Jew” or as I found out as an adult it’s actually called Inchplant. But it is a crazy grower. My wife was pruning hers and dropping the leaves on the ground. I went out to mow a few days later and a lot of it had rooted to the ground.

This is good news I just got a baby plant that I was considering taking cuttings from when it got bigger and making it a fuller one
I did this and Walmart LP followed me around every time I came to shop for a while after the fact. So annoying…
I call mine the “parking lot plant” because my sister in law found a scrap in a parking lot and it’s still flourishing (and been shared many times) years later
How long do you leave them in water like that? Do you just wait for them to grow some roots then put it in a pot with soil?
They will grow even after stomping them in the ground
I grabbed a bunch of broken ones on the ground, some were even pretty torn up and they STILL all grew! The new color that comes in is sooo purple and glittery! Sooo pretty!!
Come by my balcony, there’s always a couple of dropped slips from my dog loving to trance under the vines.
