Hallo zusammen, hier ist ein neuer Hausbesitzer mit wenig Gartenerfahrung.
Dieses kleine Stück ist etwa 4 x 7 Fuß groß und grenzt an die Grundstücksgrenze. Der Zaun gehört den Nachbarn und ist nicht in bestem Zustand, daher möchte ich keine eigenen Paneele hinzufügen. Oder überhaupt irgendwelche Arbeiten daran durchführen.
Ich denke, dieser kleine Fleck ist perfekt für eine Art großen Busch, der meinem Garten zumindest ein bisschen Privatsphäre bieten und einen Teil des hässlichen Zauns verdecken würde.
Was meint ihr, was ich hier anpflanzen könnte? Ich bin ein relativer Neuling im Gärtnern, also wäre etwas, das leicht zu pflegen ist, großartig.
Mein Garten ist nach Südwesten ausgerichtet und bekommt viel Sonne.

Photinia otherwise known as Red Robin was my first thought, would make a nice hedge screen for fence and fairly easy to look after.

Pyracantha (firethorn). Yes it’s spiky but has flowers (bees love it) and berries in autumn. My dad had a hedge in his garden many years ago. It taught the neighbours’ over excitable dogs not to jump over the 5′ fence he had.

Azaleas or Rhododendron would be nice
Hibiscus is prettier and less smelly than photonic. Very easy to look after as well.
We have a sambucus nigra that is lovely! But also planning to add hawthorn hedging. Added benefits for wildlife with that too. 😀

We have a yellow buddleia that was tiny when we bought it now it regularly get to 8 feet or more even though we trim it back for winter. We also have a black cut leaf elder that grows tall.
20yrs?.. To wait.. Quick growers are cherry laurels, wisteria (climber) or jasmine (climber).. They come in all colours from yellows to purple..
Seasonal privacy would be the sunflowers. Love those fuckers.
Aside from being part of the Photinia club, I’d recommend looking at a Ceanothus as an alternative
Viburnum opulus 👌 or any viburnum variant really. Fast growers, 2 flushes of flowers per year if cut correctly.

Not quite pretty but i think is fun – eco grass.
Miscanthus x giganteus.
A sterile rhizome type grass that is fairly manageable and grows to 3m. Basically a crop grass that needs almost no care.
In sunny spots it gets a flowery bit too.
But other suggestions that add some colour and fanciness might be better too.
