They could have been an established plant by now. If I have doubts I use root growing hormones. Ive seen someone rub it on a piece of firewood and grow roots.
Noticed this with snake plants too. Pups grew much faster in soil.
They are sooo slow. I have some just planted and they have not shown new growth in a month.
Did you just put the leaves in soil? Interesting how different plants respond to soil vs water. I’m having much more success with succulents in water than over soil.
