For context: I have a BoP and a Split Leaf Philo in the corner there. Im considering getting an Elephant Ear but Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas to balance out the room 🤔

Edit: Everyones suggestions are wonderful and Im in love with them. Im going to need a bigger room 😂

A huge monstera would love the light in that room. What a beautiful place.

Parlor palm, big ones usually aren’t terribly expensive and there’s something always relaxing about them.

I think a manjula growing large leaves up a tall moss pole would look cool in front of those windows. Imperial red philo would be cool too.

Fiddle leaf fig or any ficus for the matter would love all of that light.

Strelitzia Nicolai. It will reach the ceiling so you’ve been warned.

    8. A mesh canopy to go over that chair. (Not a plant, but it would give the vibes.)

    9. How about super long pothos plants hanging from the ceiling and trailing around?

    10. Umbrella Tree – *Schefflera* *actinophylla*

One of the faster growing tropicals without the price tag (or problems) of something like a fiddle leaf fig.

My mom had planted both a mock orange and an orange tree. It takes a good long while for the actual fruit to show up. It’s just something different to mention as an idea.

A Musa Banana. Yes, it could technically fruit inside but it is *very* rare for them to do so (when they do, it tends to be in sunrooms or conservatories.) What is less rare is for them to be lovely, tall, lush, extremely tropical-looking and fast-growing as well as reasonably tolerant of being crowded in a pot so it’s possible to have foliage at a variety of heights and sizes from the same pot. Mine has lovely reddish variegation and went from a 6″ tall single pup in a 4″ pot to a full-fledged colony in a 5-gallon pot with the tallest shoot nearly 30″ tall in one summer.

    13. I’d get a huge Alocasia macrorrhiza (sic) in the corner where the dog crate is. They change any room they’re in, and with that brightness and light colouring – the contrast would be amazingn

Just curious. What is the plant in the middle with the pink leaves? It’s beautiful
