You don’t have to do anything, roots always seek to find water. I have this on multiple plants and it’s just how they grow. Or you can cut it off, the plant will be fine either way.
Not a big deal really. Looks like a plastic pot to me, just cut the pot in half and then re-pot into a bit bigger one.
