We have a small run of lavender but it’s put out such long stalks that they lie on the ground. Bees don’t care but it doesn’t look as nice. Does anyone know if this is down to the variety or treatment?

Absolutely gorgeous. I would sit and watch those bees for hours. Particular fave is watching them bury themselves into fox gloves or snap dragons though. Something about their fuzzy little butt’s poking out brings me unbridled joy.
But lavender is my favorite.

How are your lavenders standing strong? We’ve just purchased a house and mine look like this and I don’t know why,
Lovely. I used to have lavender growing in the little patch of soil outside my house, but it grew too big and blocked the path to the door so we have to get rid. I’d love to have lavender again. Possibly there are smaller varieties.
