Honestly, a compact pond with a winding path around it would give you that illusion of space while still getting the water feature you want. Plus, it would make the neighbors even more jealous.

What people with similar plots tend to do that works well is, they get a rusty old trailer and spray paint ‘OI STARMER! FUCK OFF WITH YOUR LAND TAX’ or something similar on the side. And then put a ratty old Union Jack on a poll next to it.
