Mein Victoria-Pflaumenbaum hat bisher nur sehr geringe Mengen an Pflaumen hervorgebracht. Ich habe ihn seit 3 Jahren, es ist bereits der 4. Sommer. Es handelt sich um einen Terrassenbaum, obwohl er viel stärker wächst, als ich beim Kauf vor 4 Jahren erwartet hätte.
Sie blüht nie, bevor die Blätter vollständig geöffnet sind. Normalerweise blüht sie ein paar Wochen später. Ich hatte letztes Jahr nur 7 Pflaumen, im Jahr davor 5 und im ersten Jahr überhaupt nichts. Im Allgemeinen haben sich die Blumen, die angekommen sind, alle in Pflaumen verwandelt.
Dieses Jahr ist es verrückt geworden, es blüht, bevor die Blätter erscheinen, und es ist bedeckt. Hoffentlich bekomme ich dieses Mal eine Ladung Pflaumen, aber ich werde nicht den Atem anhalten, da mein Golden Gage letzten Frühling so war und nur 5 Gages produziert hat.
Ich bin bei beiden kein Risiko eingegangen und habe beide Bäume untereinander mit einem kleinen Pinsel bestäubt. Die Zeit wird zeigen, ob das Wirkung zeigt, da sie vorher noch nicht kreuzbestäubt wurden.

Hat jemand mit Victoria-Pflaumenbäumen eine solche Massenblüte erlebt, und wenn ja, endete sie mit einer starken Ernte?

This is pretty normal for most established plum trees in my experience, although Victoria is known for particularly heavy blossoming and subsequent fruit set.
You will likely need to thin heavily. Victoria is very prone to setting far too many fruit, which can cause branches to break, and will also exhaust the tree and cause it to take a rest from fruiting next year, pushing it into a pattern of biennial bearing where you get a heavy crop one year, and barely any the next.
I usually remove some 80-90% of the fruitlets in June. Thin to one every 4 inches or so.
Last year was especially bad. The fruit were hanging from the branches like grapes. I had to remove about 95% of them, and I still left too many on, really.
Mine is the same this year, I’ve never actually noticed the blossom on it before. Although it’s out of site from my kitchen windows, this year it’s covered in blossom! I had 6 plums the first year, 12 the second and none last year, which was very disappointing. This year hoping for a lot more, fingers crossed we will get some
I only planted one out last summer but this spring it’s flowering nicely currently. The cherry tree planted at the same time seems a bit behind it but the buds are there. Fingers crossed for some nice fruit from them both, if not this year then at least in years to come.
