You did a fantastic job. I love how the borders curve and weave, the stone raised bed. Very elegant and classy. 🧘🏻
On a very personal note, I’m not necessarily a fan of the center even lawn situation. I’d consider putting a tree in there somewhere 🤸

    Looks great!
maybe some groundcover plants under the shrubs/trees around the edges?
apart from that I’d just say invest in some cordless tools with rechargeable batteries, it’s a game changer! Stihl are probs the best but I’ve got ryobi streamer, hedge cutter, mower and blower and they all get the job done (it’s handy to have multiple batteries as well)

    Looks great, good job! 😁

Hopefully reaching to the choir, but just check for little critters before strimming. I follow some hedgehog charities and unfortunately it’s not uncommon for hedgehogs to be injured by trimmers. And your garden looks like it’d be great for wildlife!

  4. Newbie question but when you take some grass off to reclaim some space/make a bed for some flowers or plants, how deep of an excavation do you need to make? Just the layer of grass or also the soil underneath?

And can you use the grass/soil in another way to avoid wasting/killing it?

Thanks and I really enjoyed your photos

Wow, it looks amazing! This is certainly a labour of love that’s paid off, congrats!☺️

  6. Good job. Such a lovely garden space. They could do with creating some shade, perhaps another tree.

How wonderful to have an actual garden. One that’s deeper than 2 or 3 foot deep ! Grass that can last, roots that can grow and trees you can plant too ! Any new house isn’t worth buying if you like mature gardening… It’s really pots and patios, decking and crazy paving for the rest!

It’s quite inspiring to me. I have a large garden and I find it overwhelming. When I had a smaller one I enjoyed gardening more.

The curved borders and stone bed look so elegant. A small ornamental tree in the center would be a stunning focal point. You’ve created an amazing foundation to build on.
