Zu Weihnachten bekam ich einen kleinen Lammbraten und brauchte etwas Rosmarin für die Zubereitung. Ich habe mir eines dieser kleinen Kräuterpäckchen aus der Obst- und Gemüsekiste im Laden geholt. Es war viel mehr als nötig, also schnitten wir die oberen zwei Drittel der beiden Zweige ab und ließen sie ins Wasser fallen. Ein paar Wochen später, Viola, wurzelten sie … Rosmarinpflanzen. Vielleicht probiere ich eines Tages Basilikum und andere.

That’s a great idea! I’ve only grown/trimmed green onions from the store in a glass of shallow water. That was fun but not nearly as productive as a rosemary plant.

Looks a little leggy, remember to give them lots of sun. In AZ we grow them as landscape plants.
I have a 4 foot rosemary plant that grew from a tiny twig that I found on my daughter’s stroller years ago . She must have snatched it while we were in the gardening center, so it’s sort of accidentally shop lifting…
