You can pretty muchly cut this however you like you literally cannot kill them, lol, if you remove all the top growth itll just produce pups from the roots and quickly refill back in.

      Is it a tree aloe?

I would prune what is needed to access the fence but I would never remove the entire thing .

I have NEVER, EVER, seen such a beautifully healthy, happy Aloe plant in my life (53yrs). I had no idea! I also live in Canada, so… anyhoo, like the other post advises, split her up where you can. They’re a pretty tough houseplant, but i did kill my largest aloe yrs ago. Teenage pups were committing self harm, literally jumping out of the pot; new pups laying sick and sad on the plant table weekly. Lived/learned. I vote divide 🙂

Iffy you don’t have anywhere to put those divisions, sell them with a picture of the momma. People will flock at the health.

    5. That is one beautiful aloe! If I were you, I would try to repot and save it. Dig a wide circle around the base to protect the roots. Get someone to help you lift it, or use a tarp/dolly and keep the crown upright while transporting. Replant it quickly in well-draining soil and water lightly after a few days so it can settle in without stress.

Just hack away anything you want. These things are invincible.
