I got my first two tomato seedlings yesterday, so exciting!

I love that first little glimpse of growth, knowing that once the chilli plant gets to full size, it’ll give me no chillies at all. The growing part is fun though!

Good stuff! Have you got a fence for them to scramble up?

It is exciting seeing them finally pop up after waiting patiently for several days, 4 of my 15 sunflowers finally emerged today too! Best of luck

Looking good! Sweet peas have very long roots. If you grow them again, you can use the cardboard tubes from toilet rolls, then you can plant the whole thing straight into the ground without disturbing the roots as the cardboard will break down.

My first seedlings sprouted today (cherry tomato and long aubergine). Only four days using a heating mat.

In the COVID years I had depression and growing sweat pea and mnagtout from seeds and seeing them grow all the way to eating the beans. It brought me out of my depression. Marvelling at the seeds growing into a plant must have given me a chemical boost in the brain. I went from not being able to get out of bed to looking forward to every new day so I can see what my plants are doing and how much they have grown/what’s new with them.

I will share it with you because growing your own plants is fantastic and immensely satisfying. I need to make a start on my seedlings soon it’s March already!

I love growing anything from seed. The moment of seeing these first signs of germination can’t be beat.
Congrats! Its always so satisfying seeing the little sprouts pop up!
Congrats. May they grow healthy and strong!
Is this homemade compost or shop bought? Looks nice and loose
I’m excited for you.
Today I found some mini tomato 🍅 seedlings IN TOMATO . Happy spring
Woohoo! 🎉
My first batch took forever and I felt like cracking open a bottle of champagne when they started coming up.
I’ve been WhatsApping my friend with a tally. Stuck at 21 of 45 – but we did have a cold few days.
Welcome to the gardening bug. It just gets worse from here on in. Today I’ve been plugging oak logs to grow shiitake mushrooms.
I’ve had the first hint of my sweet peas germinating today, too!
Congratulations. They’re not just seeds, they’re hope
I love spring
