My best advice, for now let them sit and dry until the end that broke off is calloused. A day or two. Place them on something airy and we’ll draining. Mist lightly after a few days. I’ve had okay success so far. Still newer to this. I’ll come back and see what others have to add.
Place them on top of some soil and mist every so often.
Toss in well draining soil. Occasionally, water the soil (not the plant itself.) Benign neglect is your friend!
Nice Home Depot finds. Since you already have orchid bark and perlite, mix those with your potting soil at roughly equal parts for drainage. Succulents rot fast in straight potting soil compared to tropicals. Let the ends callous over for a day or two before setting them on the mix. Did any of them already have tiny roots starting?
Nice Home Depot finds. For succulent props I’d skip the potting soil at first and just lay them on top of a shallow tray with perlite and orchid bark mixed together. Mist lightly every few days but don’t soak them. The roots need to reach down on their own. Since you already grow tropicals, the main adjustment is just watering way less. How many pieces did you grab?
What is up with the answers all being from brand new accounts and having near identical answers 😳
Anywho- I agree I’d let these sit to callous for a few days (some will root just sitting on a windowsill with no medium), then mix equal parts perlite and orchid bark- and i would add half the amount you used of those 2 of potting soil .. mist the medium and set the cuttings on top. avoid getting the cuttings wet when misting the medium. A little won’t hurt them, just try to minimize water directly on the cuttings. Good luck !
