Not only depressing but contributing to urban heating and flooding, terrible for the environment and all because Deano in there can’t be bothered to mow a lawn

What an awful, sterile, lifeless, joyless place.

That’s awful.
I haven’t even removed the leaves from our gardens because bugs live beneath them and the birds feed off the bugs under the leaves. I keep everything except the drive, paths and yards as wild as possible.

I bet the neighbors knew exactly what the front garden would look like the moment they’d finished hiding the brickwork with flat render

And they’ll be complaining about the streets flooding within a week

I saw a great post on Instagram, I think it was, that said – paraphrasing – “Britain would immediately become an infinitely better, happier country if we rediscovered our lost love of gardening” and it’s difficult to disagree. So many streets and towns turning into Lego analogues so folk don’t have to spend a second more than they need to away from doomscrolling, whinging online and buying used underpants on vinted.

We use paper straws while people cover their drives in plastic.

Nothing I would love more than to wake up on a beautiful day, stand on my balcony and look out onto my beige plastic lawn

If I were ruler of the world, people who do this to gardens wouldn’t be allowed to have a garden
Gardens are for the wildlife, not for a boring and ugly eyesore

Resin has to be the most ugly new fad I’ve seen in a long time. At least block paving looks nice.

Pave paradise, and put up a parking lot.

It’s a millennial trend. They say they haven’t got time for gardening. Very sad to see. Sometimes crappy people playing developer too.

Yeah all the house behind me have chopped all the hedges and trees down.
We now have ramshackle sheds from COVID and broken half painted fencing for a view

The amount of people on my friends estate who want / have this is depressing. Just dont have a house with a garden if you don’t want it. Let someone who appreciates a bit of greenery have it.

Sterile! In every sense of the word. Some people just hate nature and would pave over the whole island given half a chance.

Nowhere for nature. It’s sad that so few people garden now. Tbh, I don’t actually enjoy gardening, it’s the reward of gardening that I like. I want a nice garden with grass and flowers. Although I’m fortunate that I have time to garden. Lots of people don’t.
