(Hawaii)

It’s fine. Its healthy oil and temperature and humidity hit the sweet spot for the spores to bloom. Mycelium is everywhere, it’s going to happen occasionally

The soil is just fine and it means its healthy. Pull the mushrooms, give it a good mix and keep using it. Just don’t be surprised if more mushrooms pop up. 🙂

If that isn’t the prettiest thing I’ve seen all day. Mushrooms in soil is a good thing

Totally fine. Fungi is present in most soils, and a sealed bag of soil with some moisture in it is the perfect environment for the fungi to go “hmm conditions are great for dispersing my spores, time to make mushrooms.

Looks like it might be a Leucocoprinus species. You can pluck the mushrooms or just wait till they die, as they don’t last long and will shrivel back up fast. Soil is totally good to use.

Yes I would remove the mushrooms and use it. I would also remove any clumps of colonized material under the surface, you can recognize them by the white fibers holding them together

There will still be some mycelium in the soil after doing this so you might see additional mushrooms down the road but they aren’t harmful
