Yes! Just not in the same place you planted the last ones.

Yes you can, just break off the long shoots to a more reasonable length. Keep your potatoes in a dimly lit (not pitch black) location so they don’t think they are underground and won’t send up long shoots in an attempt to grow. I keep mine in an open box in the back corner of my kitchen.

They are practically begging for it. Get yourself some of those growing bags from Temu

  4. Boil them, mash them, stick them in a stew! Baked, roasted, breakfast potatoes. Feed them to your family. Youll need to find a cooler place to store them in the future 45 to 55 degrees to keep them all winter.

  5. By the way, if you’re looking to grow larger potatoes, cut off all but one of those stalks. If you’re looking to grow some smaller potatoes, leave all of the stalks on.

Yes you can plant them! If they have multiple sprouts you can cut the potato. Each sprout only needs an inch chunk of potato to grow. I recommend laying them in a single layer on newspaper so they are less likely to rot.

Oh my gosh I have some that look just like that. I’m tempted to plant them but don’t have the first clue what to do. I attempted to grow potatoes last year and at harvest, they were all rotted so now I’m just discouraged. I feel these potatoes are begging me to try again.

Yes you can! I’ve done it successfully with store-bought potatoes that sprouted. I saw another comment about not planting in the same place two years in a row due to disease. We made that mistake once but it was potato bugs that laid their eggs and the 2nd year there were so many bugs that they stripped the plants bare!
