Zone 10a in Kalifornien, Norden befindet sich rechts im Bild. Was kann ich im vollständig schattigen Bereich auf der linken Seite anbauen? Wir möchten langsam unseren Garten auf dieser Seite unseres Hinterhofs anlegen, aber im Winter gibt es auf der linken Seite des Ganzen keine direkte Sonne. Ich würde dort gerne weitere Gartenbeete rund um den Orangenbaum anlegen, mache mir aber Sorgen, dass ich in den Wintermonaten nichts erfolgreich anbauen kann.
Tut mir leid, ja, ich weiß, ein Typ aus Zone 10, der sich über Winter und Schatten beschwert, ich bin neu in diesem Bereich! Hat jemand ein ähnliches Szenario und erfolgreiche Gartenbeete? Offen für Blumen oder Nutzpflanzen

Do you want to grow something specific or are you happy to see what works?
Your only option to directly help with shade is using something reflective to physically redirect sunlight onto the area, like a fence that you can attach a mylar sheet to in winter but remove in summer.
Otherwise just put some different plants in pots in the spots you’re thinking of using and see how they do. Or just accept that the beds are only going to be productive during summer for plants, maybe use them as dual purpose beds for mushrooms like wine caps which will benefit from the shade when the temps get cooler.
Full shade flowers are scarce if you want big blooms but there are lots of small and pretty ones like impatiens or lily of the valley.
Go to your local woodland and look for plants you like, in the thick of the woods they are in full shade year round and you know they’ll grow in your climate
Edit: I don’t mean steal from the woods, just that mother nature is the most experienced gardener you will ever find and gives wonderful inspiration
