Cook with? Freeze? Make drinks? Last year the tree was pruned by landlord so it’s yield was less, this year it has exploded and i dont want to waste them.

Donate to your local food bank. Take a box to your local fire station. I’ve also seen people put produce in bags and hang it on the fence by the sidewalk with a free sign. You can also look up a recipe for salt preserved lemons.

My grandma used to juice all of it. Freeze it flat in ziplocks then in the summer run it through the blender, sometimes with a scoop of vanilla. Best August Florida treat ever.

I love it when people but them in small boxes in the neighborhood and say take some! Give them to your neighbors! Donate to a food bank.

I would hope that you would harvest and juice those oranges for later use!

Can’t tell if lemons or oranges but I think oranges. If its oranges, orange juice is expensive, make your own!!!!

Guess you got the make marmalade and spicy lemon pickle and hoard zest and freeze juice memo. My mom loved cold lemon soup but I thought it was terrible.

Oh my gosh start a citrus mailing campaign to NEw England. Sign me up!

    11. Make lemon juice, delicious and refreshing, I’d love to have a tree like this.

    12. Besides the obvious juice and gifting, save and dry the peels, soak in alcohol to extract the oils to make a multipurpose cleaner. You can also check and see if there are any Facebook Backyard Bounty Exchange groups in your city. People trade their excess harvest, like eggs for lemons, etc

What kind of question?? Make sorbet, make jam? Make rind candy? Make bread? Make jello? Make money!

You may be sincerely wanting ideas. But I really hate posts pointing out plenty and ALMOST complaining about it. Freezing the juice us an easy no brainer. Zest the peels and freeze it too. The white puth isn’t worth much.

Look up how to salt preserve lemons. They make for some fantastic lemon chicken and ither bright lemony dinners and yiu can skip the salt.

If you like lemon liquor get some vodka and look up a recipe for lemoncello.

Lemon curd comes to mind too an sure yiu can find a recipe.

Now that’s just for you. Surely tmyou know someone who’d like a pound or two? Family friends, homeless shelters, nursing homes, fire departments, police departments, schools (individual teachers and staff can take what they want…) and food banks!!! But 4 lbs of sugar and 5 lbs of lemons. That’s an almost healthy beverage for someone with food insecurity.

Sorry but gotta be said. Was this a brag post or yiu really had no clue about all the places you can give extra (and prime quality hime-grown) food to? I answered with suggestions giving you benefit of the doubt.

When life gives yiu lemons…use them.

pick them so you do not disrupt the next fruiting cycle

you can then reduce the size of the tree by 1/3 this way it should provide a little less fruit

Depends on the variety. I have 2 Bitter orange/Seville orange trees growing in house. Grown from seed from an 1830s tree at a historic site
I am interested in making a sweet roll recipe from Sweden that a friend gave yrs ago. Giving the fruit to a food bank would be unappreciated.

Make a bunch of jam/marmalade, giving bags to neighbours and friends are always gratefully accepted- donate to cafes or restaurants, I have a local ice cream place that loves to accept homegrown fruit
