      I can’t really tell cuz of my garbage eyesight, but I’m pretty sure that’s a Taupata *(Coprosma repens)* which exist in several varieties/cultivars that have this ‘reddish-copper’ sheen, so it might simply look like that (although they’re usually greenish-yellow).

      But if you feel that it’s lookin’ peaky or the lower branches die back, you can always try amending/enriching the soil after clearing the base, watering dilligently (but not too much) and adding organic matter/mulching.
