So they were planted into a raised bed which was a little tired from a few seasons of growing.

Originally it was a soil mix based on mushroom compost and some of my own compost.

I’ve grown a few things in there and the soil is now quite friable and actually a bit tired. It’s almost turned into a sort of light sandy mix. Carrots seem to absolutely love it, light enough to keep them straight, and easy to pull up!

On top of that there was just a light layer of cane straw mulch to keep in a bit of moisture.

You should definitely be proud! I’m sure those are going to taste yum when you eat them 🙂

    4. That’s a satisfying harvest. You can tell they had good growing conditions.

No supermarket shine. Pure natural. Real carrots🥕🥕🥕🥕, grown with time and care, laid out in honest abundance.

    6. Excellent job, I live in Hawaii and grow mostly lettuce and herbs, I’ve tried carrots but never as good as yours
