How big is that pot in inches?
Interesting you pour your left over coffee in the soil? Never thought of doing that.
Beautiful money tree!
Is this a new type of coffee, left over, I’ve never heard of such a thing
Nice.
They get TALL if you give them what they need. I gave my last one away when I got tired of chopping it back to 8′ every couple of months. I’ve got a little 2′ footer now.

Omg mine is STRUGGLING. Its pot was too big so I repotted it but the leaves keep turning brown. I’ve been using a humidifier recently bc I live in a dry climate but I don’t think it’s going to survive 😩
Are you trying to break my heart?
You’ve piqued my interest. I assume you drink your coffee black? This is a beautiful plant. Mind is big but I would love to get her to that size
Black? Sugar? Milk? We all need to know.
I have heard of coffee grounds helping plants but not coffee itself.
People forget these are trees that can grow 50 feet in their native land. It looks very healthy and happy!
That window ☀️
Witchcraft! I can’t water mine very often or else it gets root rot, but you can get away with watering and coffee-ing it every day?! What do you use for substrate? I ended up having to put mine in those hydroponic substrate balls and only water it every so often… It seems fine, now, but I keep thinking that there MUST be a better way…
Oh I gotta try this. Thanks for the tip and she’s such a beauty
what kind of tree?
Oh wow. I had no idea they actually get that big
Damn y’all got 12ft tall ceilings? That’s insane
Is it bringing you $$$$$
Amazing!
tall, lives of coffee, prefers the corner and to be left alone… shit TIL i may be a moneyplant
Must be the coffee
What kind of soil is it in?
Oh wow I’ve never seen one that tall so it really is a tree it’s not just a name that we call it money tree.
Now I do see a lot of money trees being used as bonsai type plants so I think you might need to look into using bonsai practices on this particular 12-ft tree that we never really imagined can get to 12 ft because we always see it at about 8 to 12 in tall.
How many years did that take to grow?!
Maybe don’t give it coffee… and perhaps don’t water it as much. 😵💫
very nice! ive also cut mine back a few times, and its almost the same height as yours. im wondering- has anyone had success…. “bushing out” a money tree that is at this stage? i know you can promote side branching in other plants, which i dont think one can do for money trees, but is there a method to widen it out? all i can think of it training the branches down, but im not sure if new branch nodes would form that way.
Beautiful! How do you keep it from defoliating?? I have had several money trees and they only even retain three to four leaf clusters and lose all of their older ones. It always just looks like a stick, but i’d love to help it thrive and keep its leaves!
You may have said somewhere, but how old is this guy? It is beautiful. I have one and it struggles and the leaves fall off but it keeps getting taller. It even lost one of the trees because I overwatered when I first got it. I would kind of like to get a new one, but I’m afraid kill hurt it! 🤒
Coffee can work wonders for plants- I believe it’s the nitrogen.
I imagine your business is thriving
It looks so healthy!
I once poured my leftover matcha into my holy basil (thinking it could use the “compost”). RIP little basil.
Can all plants handle a bit of coffee in them , or just some ?
What is a money tree please, this looks the same as my avocado little plant/tree I’ve grown! It’s beautiful I live in the uk so maybe it has a different name you have?
Flavored coffee ok?
Oh u rich rich
Literally googled mature money tree and saw this as a result. I’m about to repot mine in hopes to get this!! Nice work! Dr. Green thumb over there 👉
Question, has it actually brought you luck and money?
This is so beautiful 😍😍😍 I would love this plant
Is it beneficially to buy a mulch blend above the top soil on a money tree?
what plants benefit from a top layer pf mulch?
A question, you take of it right? Like you water it, make sure it is not infested? Cause I got a neighbor where there was money tree in front of them. As well as mine. It got infested with furry caterpillar. Infested as in the leaves are eaten and there are hundreds. I ask our landlady if i cut them off. She said yes. And i know the landlady planted them. But the neighbor got offended when I cut it and said the plant has a value to them. I apologized but can’t stop thinking if the has value to them, why do they neglect it?
Holy cow THIS IS AWESOME!
HES SO BIG!
I get mine from the grocery store, they never seem to last for longer than a year, but I don’t think that’s a them thing, it’s probably a me thing lol.
I just don’t have that green thumb.
I’ve got one in my room now that is about 19 inches high. He’s got a thick ass trunk with like 6 or 7 winding pieces that go upward and his roots seem pretty strong I guess. He just recently got a new “shoot” that shot out of the top when it started to get warmer. 3 branches in all, maybe 20 leaves in all. The leaves look very healthy and green, but the branches are so thinnnnn that sometimes the leaves just hang there. I feel bad.
Anyway yours is beautiful! I wonder if I should transfer mine to a bigger pot. He’s just in what he came in.
I feed mine like 6 icecubes once a week. “Icecubes?” IDK I read in a lot of articles and they said ice cubes is good because it slowly waters the plant instead of just throwing water in it. Looks like you said “coffee and water each day.” Does that mean EVERYDAY?
I might try the coffee trick haha.
WOW!!!! Coffee!!! I’m totally trying that!
Money trees grow the way you cut them. Cut the height they grow in width. Cut the width they grow tall.
