To prop papyrus put them upside down in a glass of water. In the wild when papyrus breaks off the heavier crown falls down into the water so they have evolved to grow roots from between the leaves
Papyrus grows in shallow water so they’re best kept in leca and water with a few drops of fertiliser now and then
