I can’t post pictures easily but rest assured they would not appreciate my house 😆 ignore them, you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life

    2. Style your home for yourself. Not for an audience that didn’t care.

    3. Interior decorators often over value empty blank space and undervalue the life plants bring to a room.

Do these people live in your home? If not, why does it matter?

Pssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh whateverman. Id love to sit in your jungle.

    6. I mean, you could always try white walls with beige sofas beige carpet and beige dogs.

I like your place as it is. Your ceiling could use some more plants/colour though.

I saw that thread…everyone on r/interiordecorating was pretty cool about your space, not many comments about there being too many plants. Everyone was nice! Why you trashing that sub😭

They just look cramped in that space. For interior decorating purposes, it’s best to get plants that look more comfortable in a space. Interior design is a science, and it’s much less opinion-based than people think.

HOWEVER, the plants look healthy, they’re pretty in their own right. They’re not technical, balanced interior design. But, if they make you happy, then keep them, they’re wonderful.

On the contrary I think “indoor jungle” is a marvelous aesthetic that should be striven towards.

I’m not sure if it is the same thread you still have in your history but it seemed like the majority of people were saying the 1/2 painted wall (what you were asking about) added to the chaos of the room and few comments about your plants and with more people liking them.

It seems you wanted validation and when you didn’t get it, came here.

So here you go. Your home should look good to you. Don’t chase internet points.

It’s too cluttered for my taste but I also don’t live there. Decorate however you like

    15. It’s definitely not the number of plants but there is a lot of noise.
The cords from all the lights are kinda alot.
I know track lights are expensive but they’ll look a lot better. You can either wire them in or use painted covers to cover the cords.
The other thing I do is I get nice lamps and use them with sansi bulbs for plant lamps.

Another thing that might be cheaper is making your pots more cohesive.
In my house I try to keep the pots that are in the same room within the same color family.

My bedroom schemes are navy and grey and so the pots are in navy and grey. I like natural materials so the grey pots are concrete or dark grey terracotta.

In the guest room I have all white pots but I also have some beige terracotta and baskets. The color scheme in that room is mushroom and teal.

In the family room I have a lot of warm earthy colors so that’s where I put alot of my regular and patina terracotta pots but I make sure to include different textures and shaped pots and also my dark green pots.

You don’t have too many plants but there isn’t a lot of cohesion so it looks messy.

    16. I think you should live in your home for you and not the internet.

BUT if you ARE looking for opinions (sometimes we want honest feedback) I think it’s a lot to have plants AND art AND statues AND all the pillows. I think maybe grouping things together would help. It looks like each plant is in a line and that line is in front of the art and statues and that creates a cluttered look. I think I would group things, not just plants but how do those plants fit in with the artwork on the walls and the statues. Everything is laid out like you’re doing an inventory of everything you own. It’s why I ended up getting a large greenhouse cabinet. Before the cabinet I felt like I had plants everywhere and it didn’t come across as “jungly” it came across as “woah…I didn’t know she had a plant problem”. After the cabinet it became a large statement piece of living art (or that’s what I hope anyways).

it might look less “cluttered” and more intentional if the planters were the same style/colour?
