It somewhat depends on if you’re doing the moving – and what in – or if she’s being sent with movers.
But my ideal would be, lift the pot onto a pallet and secure it to the pallet – pack newspaper or something over the dirt to keep it in and run straps over the pot to the pallet. Then take some boards and create a ‘cage’ around the height of the monstera, attached to the pallet, and secure the stem to the cage with something a little elastic but not too stretchy. The cage is going to shift some, so you don’t want it to snap the plant when it does, but you also want it secure enough to support it.
But with it on a pallet, it could be moved with a pallet jack (which you can likely rent).
Obviously, this method means you need a truck tall enough to hold the upright plant & the extra height of the pallet….and you need the pallet jack. And you need no steps on the way that would render the pallet jack useless.
Second choice would probably be to tip her gently out onto a plastic sheet or something & remove most of the dirt. Then carry just the plant in something sturdy enough to keep her from breaking and just replant on the other side. This would be lighter and would allow you to store her on her side for the trip.
It’s so beautiful!
This isn’t what you’re asking for but one thing to consider is what you are planning to do once it reaches the ceiling at the new place since it’s already so tall (unless it’s just the camera angle)! If you ever plan on doing a chop and replant anyways I would do it right now so it’s easier to transport it safely. The leaves from the top cut will keep sizing up while the lower portion will revert to juvenile leaves for a while.
