

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich angefangen, Knoblauch-Schnittlauch anzubauen, indem ich Nelkenwurzeln in Wasser vermehrte. Bisher scheinen sie alle sehr gut zu wachsen (ich bin eigentlich wirklich beeindruckt, wie schnell das Wachstum ist), aber heute ist mir aufgefallen, dass eines der Blätter etwas holprig ist. Ist das normal oder gibt es Anlass zur Sorge?
Ich habe auch vor, sie in den nächsten Tagen in die Erde zu pflanzen. Wenn also jemand einen Rat dazu hat, wäre ich sehr willkommen!! 🙂 🙂

They look fine, but I’d make a couple of notes:
1. These aren’t garlic chives, this is just garlic
2. Did you use supermarket garlic or dedicated garlic for growing? Supermarket garlic may not be as hardy or vigorous as those designed for growing at home
Leaves probably bumpy due to not having water while trying to grow, just put them in the ground and they’ll be fine. Make a hole with your finger and pop it in, forcing clove into ground without making a hole has slight chance of damaging root base. You have a chance at 3 bulbs next summer, toothpicks are potentially not going to help garlic fight off infection from soil but what’s done is done.
You don’t really want a lot of roots or very long before putting it into soil. Most people put un-rooted cloves in the ground and leave them alone.
It is just garlic, chives are a different plant. You can eat the greens, nothing stopping you eating the whole thing now. I mean I’d remove the skin and the roots first…
