How wonderful! Such tiny little turtles! Good job on protecting the babies.

Neato! I just noticed the cage you made looks like a turtle as well! …This is probably a sign that your garden’s ecosystem is quite healthy. High five! ✋

    4. I remember you other post about them! I’m so glad they all made it, what adorable little cuties!

So cool. I remember seeing your post about the little enclosure you made for the nest.

Love to see them hatched & snacking on berries! If you get slugs, they’d probably love those.

Thank you for shepherding these sweet little souls into the world. I remember your previous post and was so delighted to see the turtle-shaped cage you made to protect the eggs; what a treat to see them successfully hatch!

Holy crap they are cute as hell!!

Was this a pet box turtle or wild?

Wow, how luck you found them without accidentally putting a shovel through them – they were in the garden, right? I always worry about hitting something 🙁

I’m just happy I have more lizards in my garden these days – first time ever was just a couple years ago. I hope I don’t disturb any nests (but I’d love to *find* one!)

Thank you for sharing this with us! 💐

Are these wild tortoises that just happen to live in your yard, or an escaped pet?

Imagine you hatch, and the first thing you find is a strawberry the same size as you. Mom picked a great spot to start life.

      Perfect

Now you just have to find an intelligent rat to train them.

They’re so tiny and cute! Congrats to your zinnias on the successful hatching.

My hat is off to you, OP. You ended up included in an incredible natural adventure, and not only did you rise to the occasion, you exceeded by giving those fresh hatchlings the best chances possible. Clearly, whatever power chose you knew what it was doing.
