Do they have holes in the bottom for drainage?
Personally, i would put an inch or slightly less with Leca at the bottom, then good soil, and from there, the world is your Oyster. Strawberries? 2 plants in each? The leca helps with draining off extra water to prevent root rot, which is especially important if they do not have drainage holes. Either way, water will spill trough to your balcony.
What’s your climate zone specifically?
Succulents. Can’t kill them easily n great for beginners
Time to learn!
Use the internet to look up easy to care for indoor plants and read what type of soil, light and water.
The first step on a long journey…..enjoy
Easiest thing to do would be to go buy some plants being sold as “shade plants” and then just keep them wet.
Buy a pothos (any variety) from any supermarket or garden center, and a couple of packs of soil (any packaged one). Take the plant out of the container it came in, pop it in your new planters, add soil in to the sides of the pothos until your planter is full. Water with tap water once a week until water drops leak from the bottom. Enjoy the growing beauty!
You can buy two different varieties of pothos for two planters. 🌿
