Hallo Leute, meine Tochter wollte versuchen, Melone anzubauen. Wir begannen mit den Samen in einem Papiertuch. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wann ich sie in einen kleinen Behälter mit Erde pflanzen soll. Und auch, wie man sie am besten wachsen lässt, da sie viel Wärme brauchen und wir in New Jersey leben. Für jeden weiteren Rat und wie man sie am Wachsen halten kann, bin ich sehr dankbar!! If you’re northern hemisphere then you won’t get a crop from these. It’s far too late in the year, and you won’t be able to keep them alive and healthy until next spring. They grow too fast and need too much light. Start afresh next spring.
As for when to pot up sprouted melon seeds, the best time is when the root is about 1cm long. Leave them too long and they root into the paper towel and are hard to remove without damaging them.
