I would cut it back and get some support for it.. moss pole or plant stake. It also needs more light, so I’d move it to another spot.

Garden stake and move closer to a light source (window or grow light) that boy is stretching for some light

You’d be surprised how much less light a plant gets being in a corner like that, versus actually *in* the window. I see people do this a lot thinking somehow the light will bend around the windowsill and hit the plant. Its doesn’t.

Rubber plants are low light plants, but not this low. They still need to be IN the window. The window just doesn’t need to be south facing.

Yes you can and should trim it! But do it at the end of winter once it starts actively growing again. Until then just stake it.

After you prune it if you hang a mirror behind it will keep it from stretching again.

Why not just place it in front of the window? It literally is telling you it needs more light.

It’s reaching out for light period I would give it more support, and move it closer to the source of light.
