Edit: I kept removing these from my border when I moved in thinking they were weeds. I never gave them the chance to flower so I’m glad I eventually gave up.

I’ve got some down in Hampshire that are still flowering like that. But I guess it depends on location and which type of Aster you have. It was the first year for mine and I was impressed by how early the foliage was there, which made a lovely back drop for my salvias, and just how many flowers there are!
