    Werde ich Blumen aus diesem Tier? 😁🌸

    Wie der Titel schon sagt! 😆 Diese Kosmosanlage hat sehr hart gearbeitet, um so groß zu werden! Das Bild wird dem nicht gerecht. Der Hauptstamm ist so dick und ein paar Fuß hoch.

    Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es zu spät ist, um es zu blühen? Was soll ich damit machen? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob dies ein jährliches oder mehrjähriger (ich bin ein Anfänger!) Ein Bild von einigen meiner anderen Kosmos beigefügt ist 🌸 Vielen Dank im Voraus schöne Leute x

      I had some massive ones like this until I watered them once a week with Tomorite for a couple of weeks and now they’re flowering prolifically. Not sure if it might be a bit late but it’s worth a try I’d say!

      My experience is that they’ll start flowering 3 days before the first frost and then die.

      I had an even larger one and it never came through – I pulled it sadly. They like poor soil, so perhaps yours is too rich

      I think I gave my potted one last year too much nitrogen, it went all leaf and stem about as big if not bigger than yours. You may get lucky, but it probably just got peed on by wildlife a bit too much lol

      My guess is too much nitrogen, not enough potash. You could try a dose of high potash feed, like Tomorite or Vitax organic rose food.

      Several of mine are like this this year and only started flowering a couple of weeks ago. I think I probably put too much fertiliser in. I’ll know better for next time!

      Mine started flowering about 3 months ago and they are still going. I planted them out in May I think. I dug our a border in my garden, put John inner and blood fish and bone in it and they are massive. Ive had hundreds of flowers and the sun flowers grew 8 ft tall. Ill be doing same next year.

      I had a similar cosmos plant that had done nothing, while the others flowered prolifically. It started to bloom about a fortnight ago and is still going strong.

      I’ve got about 6 huge cosmos like this and only one has flowered so far! The one that has looks lovely, but the garden would look amazing if they all joined in!
