I always talk to the little predators in my garden to thank them for their service.

The side-eye is a silent “I’m trying to work, and I don’t see your press pass…” look

In Japan, it’s considered good luck to have a house gecko, as they eat all the bugs and small pests. I personally would prefer an outdoor garden pal, such as yours! Love it!

If he had a little hat I believe he’d tip it towards you and say *you’re welcome* 🥰

I miss these guys so much!! Didn’t garden when I lived somewhere with them, and now that I’m finally gardening, I’m way far away from lizardland.

Oh my God that would make my day and he would have a name, and I would have added a little little bowtie in the photo

I have an army of them hanging out on my sweet potato vines. I love watching them jumping around from leaf to leaf.

What kind of plant is he in? those look like pepper buds to me, but not pepper leaves?

      Lovely fellow!

I was very grateful when I moved to where I am now, to find lots of little lizards zipping around and at least four praying mantis. I’ve seen cabbage butterflies from the beginning, but not a single leaf in the entire vegetable garden has had any insect damage this entire summer. Plus, we have a hummingbird feeder nearby and 80% of a hummers diet is the insects they catch in flight.

Looks like a Green Anole? Not too sure!
Does he like to show off a red beard sometimes?

Awesome photo. I had a whole lizard family in my yard this year. Fun to watch them grow.

Definitely a Green Anole. There were a lot of these around my old beach trailer when I was young. I have a few that live near me and like to hang out on the fence during warm days.

He looks healthy and your garden looks healthy, too. Can we see a whole garden picture?
