He just closed his eyes for a second and woke up as Rumplefrogskin.

    3. Not hibernating, just dug in for the day. At night he’ll come out and do his best to rid your garden of pests. Charming creatures, toads are.

    4. You woke bro up, that or he just woke up from a pretty heavy night of drinking, or both

I screamed like a little bitch when one popped out on me while potting lettuce Saturday.

Ahahaha! I once had a toad emerge from a plant a couple of months after I’d brought it into the house, luckily it was still mild enough that I could release it outside.

    7. 😂Toads have a habit of popping up when least expected. I was casually cutting my lawn a few weeks ago, when a toad jumped out from the border, landed on top of my mower, then sat there enjoying the ride.

You woke him up. He was having a good sleep. Get that toad a cup of coffee.

    9. Free fertilizer I guess haha but seriously how are the peppers ?
This might be a revolutionary idea in the garden:
They shit in your plant, they eat the unwanted, they scare the squirrels etc… they’re the guards of your garden

I found one in my cilantro container indoors! No idea how he got in, avoided the cats, and got up on the shelf. But I’m impressed! I did relocate him to the outdoors, though 😁

My pup got spooked by one on our walk this evening and jumped over it. Her jumping in turn spooked the toad, causing it to jump. It landed on my leg, causing me to get spooked and jump.

Needless to say, there was a lot of jumping in the span of about 2 seconds.

    12. I have a giant toad who has been doing the same in my potted cactus. I made him a little wading pool with a terracotta dish next to it so he can take a dip when the mood strikes, he loves it. His name is Mr. Rogers. He has a cute frog friend who comes by to use the pool sometimes, too. Great little neighborhood setup for our amphibious friends!
