Nothing special. I think it’s around 3 years now, so just spread it across the trellis and hoped for the best.

I love mine, I’ve has so little success this year and yet this little Sainburys impulse buy has climbed all over the fence and is still flowering! I just wish the flowers lasted more than a day!

Will it come back next year?!

They are great. Mine is about five years old and has taken over the whole of one side of my garden. Loads of flowers, over months. And a few fruit but not the edible ones.

This autumn it is getting a big prune. I’m going to have to be brave but it’s out of control. Joyfully so!

Yeh I have always tried them in pots. I saw the most beautiful display on someone’s house 20+ years ago and it’s been a dream since. I think I may try again next year.

Congratulations! It will now take over your whole garden 😂

    8. I planted one last autumn and it was doing really well until a few weeks ago after I gave it a big drink, it’s just shrivelled up.

    9. Beautiful! And btw they are really easy to propagate from cuttings, now is a good time for doing this. You could take 15-20 cm lengths of this seasons growth and pot into a mix of compost and grit or perlite (5 or 6 to a 20cm pot), keep moist and in a sheltered spot and they should root quite easily.

My grandad had these in his garden and I never saw them again after he passed, I was very young. Recently I thought I’d found them in lovers in the mist. But seeing this now I immediately remember the radial colour bands and 30+ years later I know he had passion flowers. ty
