Dieser kleine Kerl wurde auf dem Boden des Gartenzentrums meines örtlichen Heimdepots gefunden, das von der Hauptanlage abgebrochen war. Das erste Foto wurde wahrscheinlich ungefähr einen Monat aufgenommen, nachdem ich es zum ersten Mal aufgenommen hatte, was vor ungefähr einem Jahr war.
Ich habe mich ehrlich gesagt nicht wirklich darum gekümmert und habe es in einem Gericht ohne Erde oder irgendetwas gelassen. Nach ein paar Wochen bemerkte ich, dass es immer noch versuchte, zu überleben und zu wurzeln, also hatte ich Mitleid mit dem Zufall, den Boden, den ich herumliegen ließ, und jetzt ist es mächtig und wild.

Bro, idk how to tell this to you, but your friend is telling me you are starving him of light. Slowly move him into more sun. All the little thin growths/sprouts will need to be removed, they won’t thicken and will not be able to hold up better growths. It’s called etoliation and happens when a plant is not getting enough light. It then sends out scraggly, thin, quickly made growths to find the light it needs to live. Give it a few years with low light, and they eventually die because they can’t process their food.
Each plant needs different amounts of light and just a growlight is often not enough for the most light loving plants, unless you go super powered and get a large marijuana type grow light and position it no more than like 12 inches above. That’s just how arid cactuses do, tho.
With that said, glad you found him, just need to amp up his light by a lot

Trum off all the etoiliated growth and start over with some strong grow lights.
Even if it’s not how this cactus would look in the wild, with full sun and such, it’s really neat looking. I almost prefer the etiolated version!
