I have but they take a long time to get going. I didn’t gain any mass until I started using fertilizer. Good luck.

Yes i have grown the pups before. I have always started them in soil. They are hardy so it should grow easily for you

I got one this size from my mother in law last summer. I put it in dirt from a dead plant’s pot and just kept it watered. By fall it was big enough for a bigger pot and by summer it was full grown and throwing it’s own babies. I currently have about 6 this size from the mother rooting in their own pots. The mother has about 25 more babies on her rn…she’s so happy!

I had one i started in water and one I started in soil.

The one in water grew a ton of roots, the one in soil started drying out and almost turned to a Grey husk till I shoved it it into some water to develop roots. Now theyre both about the same size and happy.

We plant up the pups from ours every summer and put them out for the neighbours to take!

I start mine in water so I can make sure the roots develop to abt 2 inches, then put it in an appropriate sized container with holes. They usually do great for me this way. Though, there will always be a chance the pup is a dud.

  7. Yep I like filling my pots to make them look fuller and I have also gave some away. And had some given to me from a different spider plant. All are flourishing!
