I wouldn’t repot deeper but maybe repot into a slightly bigger pot. If you bury too deep it will rot. You don’t want to cover the base of the petioles or they’ll droop and rot (like the small leaves are already doing).

No, don’t let it fool you. Monsteras like to be rootbound. After being repotted, they’ll often stretch their legs. Roots appearing out of the substrate doesn’t mean anything for a monstera… they grow aerial roots at the drop of a hat. A sign it wants to start looking for something to climb. :3
I’d suggest waiting at least 6 months to repot. And when you eventually feel like you do have to repot it, try to get a clear (orchid) pot to repot into. That way you can easily see what the roots are doing!
