COURGETTE WILTING IN EXTREME SONNE. Wie kann ich es vorübergehend beschatten, kann ich den Stoff darüber darüber machen? Ich verwässere die Hölle heraus und es sieht innerhalb einer Stunde besser aus, wenn ich die Blätter verwende. Es ist einfach so heiß!

Are you sure you’re watering it enough? If so, I’d leave it with some temporary wilting. Courgettes are traditionally grown in hotter temperatures than what we’re currently experiencing, it shouldn’t be causing *that* much stress. People grow them under glass!

Mine, both in the polytunnel and in the garden, are getting watered once a day currently without any extra shade. Yep, they wilt daily, but they pick right back up after a heavy drink.

Lost a couple of fruits, but they’re prolific enough that I’m not going hungry.

It’s normal for courgettes and squash to wilt during the day if it’s very hot and sunny. It’s an adaptation to reduce water loss from the leaves. As long as the soil is moist, and as long as they perk up again in the evening, it’s not a cause for concern. If they are still wilting even in the evening, then you might have a problem.
