Move the shed so you get more useful garden closer to the house. Plant it up with shrubs and a mulch path. Maybe woodland plants.
If you’d sit there in the morning sun then I would start with that as a basis.
Get a coffee table.
Assuming it’s somewhat secluded I’d lean into that and go for dense foliage. Might also fight the ivy at least a little.
Look for plants that offer a nice scent for sitting next to. Rather than showy flowers if you can’t see it from the rest of the garden.
Raised beds to enclose it in and define the space, gravel and a coffee table? Or a woodland type area with arches and a winding path leading to a bench or two hidden at the back?
The soil will be dry I guess due to all the trees so I wouldn’t plant direct. Put down weed barrier and cover with gravel. Use pots for seasonal colour and seating for morning coffee. Evening use, try a fire pit maybe.
Weed barrier? Like a mesh or material?
I’m assuming it’s not visible from the house then? In which case I’d make it the utility area – kids toys, lawnmower storage, composting.
The trees would make any grass you put down brown and dead. A small round patio in the middle surrounded by stones.
